It’s hard to believe—it’s been a year since my 2nd recurrence. Now on my third.
This time last year, I was in the thick of a harsh chemotherapy regimen. I was cold capping in an effort to preserve my hair, clinging to small rituals of control while everything else felt uncertain.
Yesterday, I returned to Dana-Farber for a scan and bloodwork. And for the first time in a long time, I received some good news: my pelvic/abdomen scan shows a reduction in tumors in my pelvis and abdominal areas. still waiting on the chest scan results to come back.
The only thing that continues to show up on my last few scans is a sacral fracture. It turns out that the chemotherapy I went through last year left my bones borderline osteoporotic. At some point, I fractured my sacrum—possibly during the winter without realizing it. I didn’t feel much pain at first, but looking back, I wonder if the ache I began noticing after riding my new Peloton in January was the first sign.
I’m also incredibly grateful that I got to step away from it all for a few days and travel to Quebec City with my dear friend Emily. The city is magical—cobblestone streets, historic buildings, delicious food, and a sense of timelessness that gave me space to breathe. We toured Parliament, explored ruins beneath the main promenade, visited the beautiful Notre-Dame Basilica, and wandered through the charming neighborhoods of Old Quebec.

If you’ve never been, I can’t recommend it enough.
Thank you, as always, for reading and for following along this journey with me.
With love,
Lynn ❤️
