Thank you Chemo Angels🪽

Hopefully, I have wrapped my last chemo, ever!

I want to give a shout out to my Chemo Angels.🪽 These are the friends and family who sat with me through cold capping, chemo and crankiness. I’ll explain the crankiness later.

These chemo angels didn’t talk about how busy they were, or couldn’t get off of work or any other reasons why they couldn’t be there. They just showed up. And for that I am eternally grateful.

Some of my first treatments were incredibly long– I mean 7 hours ⏰ from arrival to departure! We learned and played Polish rummy, watched Jimmy Kimmel Live and Emily entertained me with stories getting me through my first agonizing cold capping cool-down!

THANK YOU 🙏

Thanks to my dear cuz Chris who not only endured a long ride and then my long chemo but stayed with me all week through my steroid restlessness and chemo crank, which are the few days after the treatment when fatigue really hits. Chris thank you for cooking, cleaning, amazing support, friendship and love!❤️❤️❤️❤️ Love you so much cuz!!!

And to my sister and Mom (who traveled long distance at 84) and arrived right at chemo crankiness. Despite my deep fatigue we picked apples and made apple sauce and honestly everything else is a blur except fruit flies and burgers at Provenders. Yum!

There’s one more angel🪽– my new friend Trish Johnson who had just only met me to offer home health care. Trish pet sat for Lily twice (4 nights) during my Boston trips and refused any payment. She did it just because that’s who she is. Trish you are beyond 😇! I’m so happy to have you in my life!

So, thank you angels. Thank you for putting me first in the priorities of your busy lives! Your kindness and generosity is incredibly appreciated and I know I’m not alone. ❤️

With love forever,

Lynn
