My sister Karen and I met with my Dana Farber oncologist today via Zoom. We started the meeting talking about the Chest and Pelvic/Abdominal CT scans. The oncologist couldn’t provide any other interpretation of the radiology notes. One scan is showing the chest is clear and the Pelvic/Abdominal is showing the same nodules, thickening and stranding in the peritoneal cavity that was on my September scan, but she said it was unclear whether or not it is disease.
I asked about going on a maintenance drug and she said there is nothing to really treat right now.
Next steps… rest, recover, regroup and do the things I need to get done and want to do.
I’ll have a follow-up scan and CA-125 cancer marker test at the end of January/beginning of February.
It may be a while until you hear from me again, as I relish this down-time and make plans to get on with livin’!
Thanks for following along.
With love, always,
Lynn
