Saw my VN this am who determined I have crepitus in several areas and pain around my surgical site.
Sloan on-call asked me to head back into the city to their urgent care. This is just unrealistic for me to run in there every time there is an issue. Especially considering the parking issues Lorraine and I encountered Tuesday night.
I’m also upset that I’ve been sharing complaints with them since the day after surgery and they just keep telling me it’s a normal part of recovery.
Sitting in ER waiting room at Valley Hospital. Sisters on their way for what was supposed to be a fun holiday hang out day. Why do I feel like a number that’s just being moved through the Sloan machine?
More bloodwork. EKG. X-rays. It doesn’t seem to end.
2:15 pm update. Test will take place to see if there is a hole in my lung.
3 pm Small leak from biopsy in lung. If the hole isn’t closed air will get sucked into the body cavity. Dr.s feel leak is small enough that I can go home but should carefully monitor myself for any more changes.
Ready to have a few hours with my sisters just relaxing.
